Maritza Blas worked with Potters for Peace when they began in Nicaragua. She began working in ceramics when she was only 13 years, and says that at first she had no ambition, until she met Ronaldo Riviera, one of the founders of Potters for Peace. He took her work all over the world and she says that he taught her that she could make work of high quality.
